Jeff Koehn, Artist • Acrylic on canvas, 50″ x 50″ (framed)
Jeff Koehn is a gifted and nationally acclaimed artist whose work bridges purely traditional and contemporary styles. Born in 1968 in Duluth, Minnesota, and raised in Marionette, Wisconsin, Koehn pursued his artistic passion, graduating (with honors) from The Art Institute of Colorado in 1995. He is a “contemporary impressionist” and is particularly well known for his use of light, whether it is light spilling across his landscapes, or his striking florals. In the artist’s words… “Painting is like making music to me. It’s like performing a dance, an outlet to express raw emotion and to invoke mystery. I invite the viewer to probe that mystery, to feel the rhythm, and to see the lyrics come to life on the canvas.”
Koehn works out of his studio in Denver. He is represented in the Chicagoland area by the Art Post Gallery in Northbrook. To learn more, visit artpostgallery.com or call 847-272-7659.
