Back when we first brought the QB to market, people used to call us ‘the new newspaper’ because we covered local events that people were interested in, offered news and insights into community life, and had lot of faces that you could recognize—those of neighbors, friends, and community leaders. We are delighted to introduce Kay Lall, who graces our holiday cover. Nothing could be more special than saving someone’s life—and that is her mission. Her family business is a distributor of life-saving medical devices that anyone can own. Her vision is for there to be AEDs (for sudden cardiac arrest) and anti-choking devices wherever there are people—in public places, public service vehicles, and homes. Her team has heard stories of lives saved by the devices from their customers, who reach out to share the heartwarming news. This is an important story of a CEO and her family who are working hard to make every moment count.
